I’m fascinated by this idea that if, Sun Tzu like, the best battle is no battle then the place to really learn about how to fight an urban conflict is in the urban battles that people expected to happen, but didn’t.

My first attempt at considering this was in a short paper for WD’s The Nugget - Urban Battles that Weren't

I got some positive and some negative comments on this, and plan to do a fuller paper on this topic in due course, hopefully some time in 2024.
