I'm not sure yet how I'm going to deal with battles when it comes to the Thesis - do I do a lengthy history from Jericho onwards then pull out the themes, or do the themes and pull in the battles as needed. Either way a lot of the detail is probably best off in the annexes as this isn't a PhD about battles per se. So my aim for now is to do standardised 2 page descriptions with the related lessons and produce them as I research each battle - so perhaps one a quarter. I'll them post each one below.
